ORYX Aviation provided specialized support for the installation of helideck perimeter safety nets and landing area safety nets on an FPSO vessel operating offshore in the waters of the Ivory Coast. The project was undertaken to enhance helideck safety and ensure that the landing area protection systems met recognized offshore aviation safety standards.
To execute the work efficiently within the limited operational window, ORYX Aviation deployed an experienced rope access team certified by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). Using advanced rope access techniques, the team successfully completed the installation of both the perimeter safety netting and landing area safety net system in a safe, controlled, and time-efficient manner without disrupting vessel operations.
The project was delivered to the highest professional standards, ensuring improved helideck safety for personnel and helicopter operations. The client expressed full satisfaction with the quality, efficiency, and professionalism demonstrated by the ORYX Aviation team throughout the project.

ORYX Aviation successfully supported the operational readiness of helideck facilities in the Al?Bunduq Oil Field by delivering specialized aviation compliance and maintenance services in line with applicable aviation safety requirements. The project was carried out to ensure the helideck met the operational standards required for safe helicopter operations within offshore field facilities.
As part of the scope of work, ORYX Aviation conducted a Task Resource Analysis (TRA), where a full-scale assessment and exercise were carried out to evaluate the required emergency response capability during a potential helicopter incident. This analysis examined the operational scenario to determine the appropriate number of Helideck Landing Officers (HLO) and Helideck Assistants (HDA) required to effectively respond to and manage an emergency on the helideck, ensuring adequate manpower and preparedness in line with CAR HVD and ICAO Standards.
Following the completion of the surface treatment, a helideck friction test was conducted, achieving a maximum grip value of 1.0 ? (mu). Based on the satisfactory results and compliance with CAR HVD, ORYX Aviation issued a three-year Helideck Friction Test Certificate confirming the helideck surface met the required safety performance standards.

ORYX Aviation provided specialized aviation consultancy services to support SEPCO in the design of a helipad at the Al Taweelah RO Desalination Plant, United Arab Emirates. The project aimed to ensure that the helipad design, infrastructure, and operational arrangements complied with the highest aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
As part of the engagement, ORYX Aviation delivered expert technical guidance, including reviewing the helipad layout, assessing operational and safety requirements, and providing advisory support to the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) team regarding the selection and installation of helipad equipment such as lighting systems, safety apparatus, and supporting infrastructure.

As part of the project, ORYX Aviation delivered specialized aviation consultancy services, including technical review of the helipad layout and infrastructure, operational safety guidance, and advisory support during the design and construction phases. All consultancy activities were carried out in accordance with the criteria and standards outlined in UAE GCAA AMC 70 – Helipads.
Through this engagement, ORYX Aviation supported the development of a safe and compliant helipad facility on the UZ Islands, enabling reliable helicopter operations for offshore activities while ensuring adherence to national aviation regulations and industry best practices.
