ORYX Aviation provided specialized aviation support services to assist a client from Australia in preparing for safe helicopter operations in the offshore waters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project focused on ensuring full compliance with the requirements of CAP 437 – Standards for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas, supporting the client in meeting the necessary operational and safety standards for offshore helideck facilities.
To facilitate operational readiness and regulatory compliance, ORYX Aviation delivered a range of technical services, including passenger weighing scale calibration, helideck motion monitoring system calibration, and weather station calibration. In addition, the helideck foam firefighting system underwent its annual inspection and flow testing to verify proper performance and compliance with safety requirements.
ORYX Aviation also supported the client by supplying relevant aviation guidance material from Maritime and Coastguard Agency aviation publications to ensure that helideck operations, safety procedures, and emergency response arrangements were aligned with recognized industry best practices.
Through these services, ORYX Aviation enabled the client to strengthen helideck operational safety, maintain regulatory compliance, and support safe and efficient offshore helicopter operations.
